We are delighted to be partnering with the UK International Jewish Film Festival 2016 and Zest to present a wonderful foodie film and dinner event.
In Search of Israeli Cuisine follows celebrated US chef Michael Solomonov as he travels the length and breadth of Israel, surveying numerous types of foods – Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Palestinian – and tries to find out whether there is such a thing as Israeli cuisine. He meets chefs, explores new methods and traditions, and tastes some incredible looking dishes, proving, once more, that food is much more than the substance we eat. In Search of Israeli Cuisine is a delicious essay about the power of cooking – and eating – to shape identities and bring people together.
Not only can you see the film, you can taste it too. The film will be followed by a dinner exploring the diverse and fresh flavours of Israel, as seen in the film, prepared by our friends at Zest. Served ‘mezze style’ on communal tables, the flavours of the film will be bought to life.
Please note – tickets are available for the film only, or as a dinner package.
